Mercy rolls over me
Like an ever rolling stream
Loves eternal fountain
Deeper than oceans depths
Your faithfulness kisses the highest mountain
Reaches the heavens above
Then stoops down from your throne
Touching me with love.

Ever increasing glory

Life giving creativity
Flowing like an ever rolling river
Moving with each bend
Squeezing its way through the narrowest bite
Powerfully rushing over mighty falls
Then cascading down
Caught up in the suns gaze
Rainbow filters splashing glory rays
Upon the earth
My life is complete in this movement
Simply here for His display
Not looking back
Just moving forward
Toward my final destiny
Heavens glory
Majestic King.

Cast down
Never cast away
This hope lives longer than the setting sun
Enduring beyond eternity
From everlasting to everlasting
This hope moves me into faith
Helping me to see beyond my days on earth
Knowing I am no longer earthbound
I will endure
Undergirded with the strength that created mountains
That can move them with one word

Beginning and end
He is the glory and the lifter of my head.

Future glory

Deep into God
How deep will I go
Upon this foundation
I will always grow
Built strong and pure
Of noble birth
This royal decent
Now my true worth
Bought with a price
That no man could pay
His eternal covenant
Causing me to rise this day
Rise with the hope of glory in Christ
His future promise
By faith is in sight
That now I know in part

A house of faith

A house of straw built on grass
Looking through the looking glass
To see the future and the past
Through the test of time won't last

A house of glass built on stone
The earth will shake the house will rock
A thousand pieces shattered on the land
This house of glass will never stand

A house of clay will last a day
The monsoon floods soon wash it away

A house of gold built on sand
The storms will come and shake the land
The fire will blaze and it will burn
The gold will melt never to return

A house of cards stacked up to the sky
The world will say come fly with me
Let's dance this dance to the beat of chance
The winds will blow
The cards will fall
The dreams will crash
To their final call

A house of steel will bend and break
To the violence of the earth that quakes
All out of shape
All out of line
It was never built by His design

A house of faith built on His word
To hear and know
To trust in all His worth
To believe in the power of His might
To walk by faith and not by sight
This house of faith built on the foundation stone
The eternal love of God the rock
In Christ alone we'll stand
All other ground is sinking sand
Only He can take me by the hand
Into my final resting place
The eternal house of God I'll stay
Till then I'll live in this house of faith today.

Sparkling jewels across a moonlit night
The awe
The wonder
What a glorious sight
The mysteries of our creator
Spread out for all to see
Revealed in splendour and majesty
Pointing us beyond our earthbound breath
Awakening height and depth
Of infinite riches of love poured out
In wisdoms perfection
Revealing the greatest mystery of all
The eternal hope of glory
That Christ redeemed me from the fall.

Love heals.

Felt a wave of love wash over me
As my friend spoke strength into my wounded soul
Caught me by surprise
Shouldn't have, but it did
I've been so hurt
That in that moment of love
The surprise was
The pain lifted
As Gods love made way
For healing to flow.

In step

The next step
Prepared or random
Predestined or chance
Organically organised or mindless matter
Thrown together without thought
I'm not here by chance
Nor living without eternal purpose
I was planned before time began
Dreamed of before my mothers womb
Called into life
Drawn by love
Chosen by grace
Adopted by my Heavenly Father
Jesus signed the papers with His blood
Sealed them with His name
Now my step
Is in step with His.

How lovely is a home filled with you
An enormous wide open spacious ever loving life filled heart
No room for despair
No hiding place for shame
No space for fear at all
When sin crouches at the door its forbidden entry
Lying down upon a bed of peace
Embraced by compassionate arms
Held strong and pure
Flooded with wave upon wave of eternal love
Your house is where I want to live
Home with you is where my heart longs to be
Even cries out for
Yearns for
Thirsts for
Desires more of
More than life itself
For there is no home apart from you
Nor is there rest
No life apart from you
Outside your home
Darkness
Sinking despair
Ice cold death bolted behind prison doors
Prison gates
Behind prison walls
You broke the chains
Took the sting of death
Set my captive heart to rest
Held my feeble hand
Touched my fragile heart
Took me in
Deep into you
To find my place at home
Always at home
With you.

Emptied

To let go

Lay down and surrender
Placing all those dear to you
Nearest to your heart

Within

Who can I compare you to
There is no one
You are the Self Existent One
Before time
Beyond space
Above
Underneath
In front
Beside all who are called by your name
But most of all

Dwelling within.

Timeless One.

First sight
Morning dawn
Glorious rising
The sound of rushing waters
Clean and crystal clear
Mountains coming alive in beautiful array
Trees spread upon them in rich display
Greens of every shade
Turning to gold
The rocks spread out with all their strength
Along the river banks
The monsoon floods toss them around
Like pebbles in the sand
In this timeless moment
I sit here in childlike wonder
Knowing my maker
My majestic creator
Is the Timeless One.

Sleepless

Tossing and turning
With deep down yearning
My mind in a flutter
With thoughts flying everywhere
No sleep to be found anywhere
Just lost inside my head
As I lie upon my bed
No amount of worry  changing anything
Just lost sleep running through a mental maze
Still hope springs up
To soothe my troubled mind
Speaking words of life
Toward a future untold
Safe and secure
Leaning on the everlasting arms of God
Rock me to sleep once more.

Dig deep

Dig deep
Find the sufficient grace
Release mercy
See it cover over a multitude of sin
Then rest in peace
Which surpasses all the turmoil and struggle
Lifting you up to higher ground
While guarding your heart and mind
In Christ.

Pain

Pain

Bear it we do
How much is self inflicted
Whether slowly induced or a rush of
Burning
Searing
Excruciating pain
All you want is something to make it go away
A shot of anything to make it stop
Jesus put a stop to the long term
Terminal illness of sin and death
When finally on the cross
He said
It is finished.

When you write

The deep is on display
Everything falls upon the pages exposed
Just as it is
So attractive for many who hide away behind closed doors
Not knowing who they really are
Fear holds them ransom
Imprisoned behind their self constructed bars
That's what lies are and what lies beneath the lie
The greatest lie of all
There's no escape
When I read the lines that flow from your heart
Your freedom speaks to me
Calls me out
I'm drawn into a hope
Where your name is written upon mine
Where fear and lies are driven out
With one breath of your love
One whisper of your name
One touch from you
Where truth takes its stand
